How has Android taken over as the Smartphone OS of choice?

Q. Android offers you more for your money, there are more varieties than iOS. People like variety. With an iPhone you cannot remove the battery unless you are a Mechanic.

A. Android phones are cheaper than iPhone. Latest Android flagship phones with their quad core chipsets will blast iPhone into the waters. Android is an open os while ios is closed. Android offers freedom of choice which iPhone can't. Also they have replaceable batteries and sd card slot, nfc, better camera and battery rating. Anyone can root it overclock it and install custom roms according to their preference. It's very east to backup contacts including social networks by syncing them to your email and can be easily retrieved.

What is the difference between google android market and google play?
Q. Alot of tablets have google android market with 4.1 Jelly bean android. Are they both the same, and if not can I upgrade. I want to buy a decent tablet for afordable price

A. The name is the difference. Android Market became Google Play a while ago and that's basically it. They also added books and movies to stuff you can download I think but in terms of apps there is no difference.

How do you install android on an iphone 4?
Q. I've seen people run the android os on their iphones, but they require an iphone 2 or 3g. Is there a way to install on it an iphone 4?
not the iphone 2, but the original iphone. and i've seen 2.2 videos on engadget and other sites. but i was wondering if there was an earlier version that's more stable.

A. Googles Android mobile OS is coming soon to iPhone 4. Android can already run on iPhone EDGE (2G), 3G and iPod touch. The ports dont work as well as they should do, since iPhone and Android dont go along well (power management not optimized, iPhones battery drops to zero within a few hours) but its definitely great if you want to try out the so called open-ness of Android.
